Why give a bouquet that just sits there when you can give a miracle in a box? A Wish in Waiting is a crystal-clear, boutique display designed to bring the magic of metamorphosis onto a desk, a nightstand, or a kitchen counter. It is a front-row seat to one of nature’s most incredible finish lines.
Each display features a hand-curated arrangement of fresh-cut flowers, providing a beautiful backdrop for the main event. Secured safely to the top of the lid is two live Painted Lady chrysalis—the "wish" that is waiting to take flight.
The clear view allows you to witness the chrysalis as it matures. As it nears the end of its transformation, you'll see it darken and change—a sign that the miracle is just hours away.
There is nothing quite like the moment the butterfly finally pulls itself out, clinging to the lid to dry and expand its wings among the flowers.
Once the wings are strong (usually within 24 hours), take the box to your favorite outdoor spot. Open the lid, whisper your wish, and watch as your butterfly takes its very first flight into the world.
Notes from the Farm:
Nature’s Timeline: Most butterflies emerge within 5 to 7 days of being placed in the box. We select the chrysalis at the optimal stage so you can enjoy the flowers while you wait for the "big reveal."
Care is Simple: No feeding or watering is required for the butterfly while it’s in the box. Just keep the display out of direct sunlight and away from drafts.
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
